We were lucky enough to get invited backstage to Powerhouse’09 where our friend Khai was in charge of documenting Far East Movement’s performance at this year’s concert. The powerful Canon 5d delivers incredible video, which we abused during FM’s performance, and got some gnarly footage. However, as the video is still in post production, here are some photos from the concert:
Watching the musicians from just a foot away was a great experience, but I think Jay Z blew everyone away with his hyped performance.
I had the opportunity to shoot BTS production stills at Gigi’s Reel shoot this past month! Gigi Torres is an internationally recognized dancer and choreographer. Some of her credits include So You Think You Can Dance- Scandanavia & Ukraine, Essence Dance Company, Kaba Modern Alumni, Funks LA, Dance 2XS, and many others! I’ve known her for quite some time now and its definitely great to see her advancement in the circuit. Shes freaking awesome and just a sick sick dancer, enjoy some pics and the video by Lux!

If you recall back to this past Christmas Eve, 9 members of the Ortega family were brutally murdered in a shooting in Covina. Such a tragic story, so I was honored to have donated my time to photograph this benefit for the sponsors and members of the family. It was a very nice afternoon in Santa Monica, with celebrities all around and a performance by Sugar Ray, it was a very positive and inspiring event. Thanks again to Mary for having me!

A few months back, Tigran and I decided to move Tikko into a larger more spacious area. We came across a vacant building in Fullerton after months of seaching for a full functional studio location. In efforts to develop a more creative environment we decided to add Thomas Phantom of Phantom Design and James of Art-Hammer. Our goal was to unite a collective of artists and like us, people who were passionate about their businesses. The Commonwealth Collective was established December 2008 and seek to provide photo, print and design all under one roof.
